Special edition Alpine A110 Legende GT updated for 2021

Alpine has launched a new version of the limited-run A110 Legende GT, equipped with the A110S’s more powerful 288bhp 1.8-litre petrol engine

Alpine has relaunched the A110 Legende GT for 2021. The French brand’s more comfort-bent special edition version of its Porsche Cayman 718 rival is now available with a choice of two design specifications and the same 288bhp 1.8-litre petrol engine found in the A110S.

It’s available to order now, with prices starting from £61,655. However, interested buyers will need to move quickly, as the 300 available models will be shared across all European markets.

Legende GT versions of the A110 gain smoked white LED rear lights, gold brake calipers, gold Alpine badges and a set of unique 18-inch alloy wheels. There are also two exclusive paint finishes to choose from; Mercury Silver and Abyss Blue.

The cabin trim differs according to the paint finish. Regardless of choice, it comes with a pair of Sabelt Comfort bucket seats, trimmed in black leather on the silver cars and amber brown leather on the blue cars. The steering wheel and door panels are also trimmed to match the seats.

Elsewhere in the cabin, there’s a Dinamica suede headliner, an aluminium footrest for the passenger footwell and some unique carbon fibre trim for the dashboard and centre console, which has copper flakes woven through the panel. Every model also features a numbered plaque, which marks its place in the build series.

There are also a few more creature comforts than an off-the-shelf A110, such as an active sports exhaust, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and a premium Focal audio system. A seven-inch infotainment system completes the equipment list.

Like the old Legende GT, this new model is powered by a turbocharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. But, where the previous car only had the standard A110’s 249bhp tune, the updated model has the same output as the more powerful A110S.

That means 288bhp and 320Nm of torque, which Alpine says is enough for a 0–62mph time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. The engine sends drive to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
